Badges have been implemented using the following colors and credit totals:
Bronze - 100K
Silver - 1M
Gold - 5M
Amethyst - 20M
Ruby - 100M
Sapphire - 500M
Emerald - 2B

The badges can be seen on the "My Account" page as well as a number of other places. Thanks to all who contributed to the badges implementation discussion. A special thanks goes out to:
* chip for providing the badge images
* arkayn and x3mEn for identifying the specific web pages where the badges should be displayed
* yoyo for providing the MySQL database changes
* Bok for adding the Collatz badges on FreeDC stats (coming soon)

I did not take notice that Free-DC use some other milestones:
1B's-500M's-250M's-100M's-50M's-25M's-10M's-5M's-2.5M's-1M's-750k's-500k's-250k's-100k's-50k's-25k's-10k's-1k's
It was better to do like this:
2B's-500M's-100M's-25M's-5M's-1M's-100k's
I apologize for the inattention.

That's because the majority of projects are CPU projects. For GPU apps, you could work through the first 7 badges in a single day. So, I like the numbers we have now.

I thought could replace 20M -> 25M.

If someone just earned their 20M badge and it now changes to 25M and they now lose it, they won't be happy. And, it is for similar reasons that projects like WCG have such lousy credit. They don't want to increase it as it would penalize all those who have been with the project all along. You can please some of the people some of the time....

I think it would be an easy fix, but each project must keep themselves happy and then depend on dedicated users to just keep going. Chasing the credit crunchers never seems to work out in the long run.

As for the fix figuring how many credits would reasonably be earned by 1 pc in 1 month and multiply that out then add that amount per year per pc the user has. I don't know how many details the projects keep on users over time, but if it could be established how many actual pc's each user had and when then the numbers would be more accurate. There is NO super accurate way unless you do what Seti did when they started Boinc, ie Classic units versus Boinc credits.

He could setup a platinum at 5 billion! Or even Ivory at 3 billion, Topaz at 4 billion as intermediate steps.

At 17 million per day he may need to add quite a few more steps if you keep going here!

Is this still the Badge Structure here at Collatz, if it is it seems like a long way to go from 500 Million to 2 Billion. That would mean somebody that does get to 1 Billion gets no recognition for it until they get to 2 Billion ... :/

Badges have been implemented using the following colors and credit totals:
Bronze - 100K
Silver - 1M
Gold - 5M
Amethyst - 20M
Ruby - 100M
Sapphire - 500M
Emerald - 2B

I agree, a nice Diamond, Opal or even Pearl would fit in nicely at 1 billion.
