I just got a tablet a couple days ago and wanted to run the OpenCL version. It see s the GPU as Intel_gpu but never get any tasks. It works perfectly on my 3840qm. I might try copying the config files to force it. It's a brand new GPU so I can see why it's not quite supported yet. The CPU is a Z3740D. Thanks!

Since it should support OpenCL acc. to intel and your BOINC is recognizing the GPU as OpenCL-capable device but you got only CPU work, have you checked your account settings for this host for starters? I'd say it should be to force GPU work:

Use CPU: no
Use ATI GPU: no
Use Nvidia GPU: no
Use Intel GPU: yes

collatz: no
mini_collatz: no
solo_collatz: yes

P.S.: I have two HD4000 available, but haven't bothered to run any projects on them. Would need dummy plugs, I guess, and might throttle the CPU to lower clocks. :)

I am assuming it recognizes the intel gpu since the logs look exactly the same on my machine that collatz is currently using the intel gpu to do work on. I will change the settings to solo only to see if that does anything different.

Next step I'd say is to check for a newer intel driver if you don't have the latest. On above linked page intel is advertising OpenCL support for Bay Trail as new so it might require latest drivers.

EDIT: Just seen that it might require a specific driver on Windows 8.1, please see note and link in the What's New section: http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-sdk-for-opencl-applications-2013-release-notes#new

I will try to install the driver but I do have the latest. My Driver version is newer then any driver listed on Intel's Site. The problem might be coming from the special Dell GPU driver. I will try this and report back!

EDIT: non of the drivers install.. I'm not sure if Intel has officially released any updated drivers yet

EDIT 2: going to try and install this http://software.intel.com/en-us/vcsource/tools/opencl-sdk

According to this it should have no problem... the gflops is incorrect, its more around 15-20 according to flopscl

Since BOINC recognizes that the Intel GPU can do OpenCL, it isn't a driver problem. So, enable sched_op_debug in the cc_config.xml so you can see whether the client is requesting any GPU seconds of work. If it doesn't, then it is a BOINC client bug.

You log shows:

12/10/2013 10:15:51 AM | Collatz Conjecture | Requesting new tasks for intel_gpu
12/10/2013 10:15:52 AM | Collatz Conjecture | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks

If sched op debug is enabled, I would expect to see something like:

12/10/2013 9:05:11 AM | Collatz Conjecture | Requesting new tasks for intel_gpu
12/10/2013 9:05:11 AM | Collatz Conjecture | [sched_op] CPU work request: 0.00 seconds; 0.00 devices
12/10/2013 9:05:11 AM | Collatz Conjecture | [sched_op] intel_gpu work request: 30424.95 seconds; 0.00 devices

The question is whether it is asking for more than 0 seconds of intel_gpu work or not.

my logs show that sched op debug is enabled. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I found a bug in the function which determines whether the plan class (a.k.a. opencl_intel_gpu) uses the GPU and there was no check for Intel. I added that code so that may do the trick. My guess is that with the cpu WUs disabled, even though it was asking for intel_gpu work, it wasn't getting any because the server didn't know that the opencl_intel_gpu plan class used the GPU and not the CPU. It it starts working now, then that was likely the culprit.
