For the past month, my computer was crunching on:

30-8-2014 12:57:15 | Collatz Conjecture | Finished upload of large_collatz_2387643700748899591283_26388279066624_0_0

This completed this afternoon, but my stats show 0 (zero) results.
Was all effort for nothing ?

Not so far no, it looks like the Server just hasn't figured out that you have returned it yet. There are multiple parts that all need to work together and it appears to be working slowly right now.

Hmm, I would have expected a Validation pending result.

It does say this 'Validate state Initial'.

After completing a workunit, the machine uploads it to the server. The validation will not take place until after the client has reported the WU as completed. Once that happens, the transitioner daemon changes the status on the workunit so that the validator picks it up.

http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/result.php?resultid=9365176

Since the server does not show it as received, it appears that while it may have uploaded the result, the client has not reported it as complete.

Any way I can get that "completed" signal send ?
I have since received new Collatz WUs, but I hate to see my PC work for nothing for another month.

Go to the projects tab in BOINC Manager, select Collatz, and click the Update button. That assumes there is an entry listed as "Ready to Report" under tasks. If you don't finish a WU prior to the deadline, BOINC will abort it.

If the large WUs are taking a month to complete, you may want to deselect it from your preferences so that you only get the mini or solo WUs.

I did that, but no succes.
Apparently, my result has disappeared.

I'll wait until the next WU completes to see if I need to abort this project.

It isn't that you need to abort the project but rather choose the appropriate WU size for your computers. Any laptop GPU will be slow, even the fastest ones. That's mainly due to heat since laptops can't have huge fans and heat sinks like desktop GPUs have. The result is that even new laptops have relatively slow GPUs. while you can run large WUs, you would be much better off running mini or solo WUs.

Just a quick question, I'm a desktop user and currently only have the onboard Intel graphics. In my preferences, I have everything selected, but mini and solo are the ONLY tasks I ever get. Are the larger ones specifically for better GPUs?

The embedded Intel GPUs are not vert fast and a number of users were complaining that they couldn't finish the large WUs in time so the opencl_intel_gpu apps were removed from large collatz.

It could be because it took a month to complete (which for most collatz workunits means that it went past the deadline) resulting in no credit. If you go to the boinc advanced view and click tasks you should be able to see the deadlines of various tasks.
