I am trying to run Mini_collatz on the integrated intel gpu on OS X 10.10.

I want it to run using less gpu to reduce heat, but I cannot edit the mini_collatz_6.06_x86_64-apple-darwin__opencl_intel_gpu.config file. Each time I edit it, I receive this error message:

This is what I am putting in the file:

verbose=1
items_per_kernel=10
kernels_per_reduction=9
threads=8
sleep=1
build_options=-Werror

Make a note of the owner and permissions prior to editing. My guess is that it used to be owned by boinc and it is now owned by you so when boinc runs, it no longer has permission to open the file.

I would agree that seems to be the issue. The problem is that I have made sure the permissions all Boinc to use the file. Any other way of correcting the issue?

I got this message after placing a remote_hosts.cfg in my BOINC directory, in order to get my OS X hosts working with BoincTasks. It would show up on restart/relaunch of BOINC Manager after placing the file. I simply reinstalled BOINC as requested by the message; the message no longer showed up, and the .cfg file was read correctly.
