Hi there, I recently made upgrades too my 2008 Mac Pro which allowed me to install the gtx 650Ti I had lying around alongside my gtx 680. However too my surprise, doing so gave me the error message 'gtx 680 doesn't support CUDA driver 6.5+' and the event log said neither GPU was used for CUDA or OpenCl. After backdating my drivers too the latest 6.0.x release, full OpenCl usage was restored, but now neither card is even seen as CUDA device! Anyone have any ideas??

Cheers, Jake

Other than switching to Linux or Windows?

Chances are that when you downgraded, some of the 6.5+ driver files were left and the 6.0 didn't replace them because that would have caused an older version to overwrite a newer version. For Windows, the solution is a "driver cleaner" app. I don't know if there is a documented list of files for Apple. Did you uninstall the new version before installing the old? If not,
a) install the 6.5+ again.
b) uninstall the 6.5+
c) install the 6.0

If the CUDA installer for OS X is better than the one for Windows at cleaning up after itself, that __should__ work. Otherwise, between steps b and c you would need to manually delete the files that the installer "forgot" to remove.
