The sieve app uses much more RAM than the previous Collatz apps. Edit the config file for the CPU app (collatz_sieve_1.20_windows_x86_64.config) and add the lines:
sieve_size=22
lut_size=12

If that works OK, you can increase the sieve_size by 1 until it starts to fail and then reduce it by 1 so it will use the last stable setting.

I have been getting the same issue. My graphics card is a 2GB R7-260X and I have an FX-8350 with 16GB of ram. It seems to be GPU tasks that give the memory error. Has anyone found a permanent solution for this? The GPU, CPU and ram are not overclocked.

Do you have a .config file? If so, what are its contents?
