Work will once again be available once the tamper proof clients have been released. I'd rather shut the project down for a couple days and make sure that the results are valid than to bring it back up to soon and have to throw out the data collected thus far.

I'm still testing v1.10 of the app and the new validator. So far, so good. Just got done debugging the validator today and am installing it on the project test site to see if it works when plugged in. I'm out of town this weekend for a wedding, so if I don't get it running tonight, it won't go live until early next week since I don't want to turn it on and then leave for the weekend and just hope it all works.

Once it is ready to go, I'll probably cancel any outstanding WUs as they will not validate with the new version.

They are here! The CPU is much faster than before. ATI and CUDA are a little faster. Linux 64 and OS/X will be coming soon. The 64 bit app is twice as fast as 32bit due to the new version using an array of 64 bit values for storage.

I SAY they are faster -

The app_info.xml has a section in it as follows:

<coproc>
<type>CAL</type>
<count>1</count>
</coproc>

Just delete that whole section.

That is a leftover from testing a new boinc client and server that are ATI aware and it seems that even though the official boinc client is too dumb to know about ATI/CAL, it is smart enough to know that it is too dumb to be aware and therefore won't crunch it if it thinks it needs a CAL coprocessor.

Or, for the QWERTY challenged, I fixed the ones in the opt app, so the alternative is to download the opt app again and replace the app info with that one.
