Message 22680 - Posted: 6 Jul 2016, 12:18:10 UTC - in response to Message 22676.

Sunny here now. The gloom from this morning has dissipated.

Now I'm watching the Indians. They're playing Toronto. It's tied 1-1 and in the 17th inning. Poor guys have played almost two games. Both teams are running out of pitchers.

I shall go make dinner now. It'll be some sort of chicken with sauce. Still to be determined.

I would use cauliflower instead of real rice and your previous casserole would be good for me!!

The Washington Nationals scored in the 14th and won, how did the Indians do?

I am winning!!

I'd use cauliflower rice but the family would rebel. I really need to get my own place. :)

The Indians won 2-1 in 19 innings on a solo homer. We now have a franchise record of 14 games in a row. We haven't lost a game since the Cavs won the NBA championship.

I'll be offline for the next couple days. I'm helping my brother move. I'll have my phone, but that's it. And I hate trying to type on the thing.

My wife likes the cauliflower rice, but can't bring herself to fix it!!

WOO HOO Indians!!! My Nats lost last night to the Reds, they tied it up in the 8th then lost in extra innings when the relief pitcher couldn't hold them.

Give us the phone number and we will call you and let you know that we are winning!!

So you need phone number? In finland emergency telephone number is commonly known. Is this the number you need? Winning!

No I was talking about Kathryn's cell phone number because she is not near her pc for a few days, that way we can call her and tell her we are winning!!

Aah. Okay. Now i overstand. Err...i mean understand. Winning!

Yeah, the streak ended. But we're still playing good ball (except for last night I guess). I'm still trying to recover from the move. I have fibromyalgia and I over did it. I skipped going to the gym yesterday. I'll see how I feel tomorrow (I only go MWF).

I'm enjoying my morning cuppa coffee. I still have to get something for breakfast. Maybe one of last night's brat patties.

I don't take anything for it right now. I had been on a lot of meds before, but had a good 6 month remission where I didn't need them. I'm trying to get in to see the doctor before my September appointment, but she's always booked out. I'm going to talk to my other doctor about changing my antidepressant to Cymbalta, which has helped in the past. Thankfully a cancellation came up and I can see her today.

And now, I'm definitely winning.

Tonight's dinner is coke-brined fried chicken. I have to split my leg quarters and do up the brine pretty soon as it needs to marinate 6-8 hours.

Leaving tomorrow for some pharma consulting work in Washington, DC and I am going to California for an American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy meeting later this month. Ooooo... and new old friend to play.

Sounds like you're been very busy.

So I got into see the doctor yesterday (yay cancellation list). She agreed that we should try the Cymbalta. So she put me on that and decreased the Celexa. I see her in two weeks (my regularly scheduled appointment) and we'll see how things are going.

As for me, I'm winning with my morning cuppa. I might make a breakfast burrito in a bit. Either that of last night's leftover fried chicken. I don't mind eating non breakfast food for breakfast. I kinda got used to it in Korea.

I agree Davie HAS been VERY busy, I am kinda jealous but not enough to stop doing what I'm doing to do it too. Hopefully David can keep us updated and we can continue to live vicariously thru him!!

WOO HOO on the Dr's appts!! I hope all works out well!!

I'm also having a cup of coffee this morning, but breakfast won't be until they set it up downstairs in the lobby, probably turkey sausage and some eggs of some kind. I'm on the road again myself, it took 7 hours yesterday to do a normal 5 hour drive yesterday, who knew Saturday traffic would come to a complete standstill on Interstate 95 in Virginia!! The road is FULL of idiots!!! I even got off the interstate to go around one problem and the normally at least moving Rte 1, the older road that goes all the way from Maine to Florida, was ALSO completely stopped because ONE TOWN has mistimed their traffic lights AND had NO left turn lanes or provisions for people that might want to turn left!!! I was at a complete standstill for over an hour!!! It took me 3 HOURS to drive what normally takes me about half that time!!! Once I left Virginia though things got MUCH better and I made my usual good time!!

I am still winning though!!

Coffee was indeed good this morning. I'm eating last night's leftovers for breakfast. I'm too lazy to cook today. Yesterday I made a peach cobbler. It didn't turn out too bad for a first attempt at it. I was supposed to make a sour cream apple pie today to use up apples from the bag from the library. But now I don't know if I'm going to make it. The fam might just have to live with the cobbler for dessert.

I'm getting ready to hit the breakfast bar downstairs for some coffee and some food, for dinner last night I stopped at Bob Evans and I had the Cranberry, Pecan with grilled chicken salad, it was delicious!!! I brought most of it back to the room with me though, and I got the smaller sized one!! It will be my dinner tonight too when I am home again.

That salad sounds yummy. We went to my aunt's for dinner yesterday. I had a rib, cucumber salad and some coleslaw. My aunt baked her famous chocolate cake, but I was too full to eat any (and I shouldn't eat it anyway).

It was and since I didn't eat it yesterday I will eat it today for lunch!!
Right now though I am having a cup of coffee and trying to wake up, I spent 6 hours on the road yesterday and didn't get home until almost 11PM, I then got up at 5:15AM. I think it may be an early nap day for me!! Before hitting the road yesterday I spent 6 hours in a car dealership buying a new car, they DO find ways to extend the process!!!

Kathryn I have a great idea for you and the family to get FREE dinner tonight!!

Free entree for "cows"

Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A

On July 12 only from opening until 7 pm local time at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants, receive an entree for free when you dress up as a cow (or wear something cow-related) during its Cow Appreciation Day. (Kids who dress up receive a free kids' meal.) That's the best such deal we've seen from Chick-fil-A this year. Not sure how to appear in your bovine best? Scroll down the page for some ideas on how you can make your own cow costume or try out this starter kit. This promotion is valid for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

LOL. I could put on a black tee shirt and shorts and pin white spots all over me.

We're having pulled pork for dinner tonight. Last night was cheese burgers.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and cheese. Very yummy.
