Getting home after a few days, i've notice that all of my machines got no WUs at all and manually requesting work didn't get me anywhere... So i started digging for clues and enabled work_fetch_debug and figured out that BOINCstats BAM was causing it. I don't know why but workfetch got blocked by bam....

Anyway, so there's this new thing regarding the bad url (SSL shit an so on)and i thought that detaching from BAM would solve the problem and it did. Clients are getting work now.

GREAT i thought...However somehow that deleted my config files and i'm now more than pissed that i have to tune every GPU in very client once again.

SO... WHAT HAPPENED HERE ???

Detaching from a project removes the entire project folder and since Collatz offers more nuance optimization options the consequences of detaching/reattaching should have been better communicated. We live and learn. Hopefully you can quickly find some optimizations in optimizing collatz sieve thread : http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/forum_thread.php?id=1273

I had previously posted my config to that thread, so I simply copied it back to the project folder.

Thanks for your reply, but that's besides the point.(Sorry)
The real question is why BAM blocked any new work request and why i had to resort to detaching from BAM at all to get new work.

I wonder if this is related to that SSL URL crap that's been going on before.

I'm not positive, but I think it is related. I suspect insecure connections will no longer be able to receive work.

That said, the web is moving towards SSL - I think it is in the best interest of this project (and all sites) to move towards securing client-server communication.

As an example Apple will require HTTPS connections for iOS apps by the end of 2016... https://techcrunch.com/2016/06/14/apple-will-require-https-connections-for-ios-apps-by-the-end-of-2016/
