The section in the Wikipedia article on the Collatz conjecture dealing with computational evidence(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collatz_conjecture#Supporting_arguments) appears out of date. The article currently says that the conjecture has been tested for values up to 2^60, which is much smaller than numbers I have seen on recent work units.

In general, I think the Wikipedia article would benefit from a short summary of past and ongoing computational projects related to Collatz. I'm a little surprised this hasn't been done yet.
As a side benefit, since many people interested in the Collatz conjecture will be visiting the Wikipedia article, this could improve recruitment for the BOINC project here, which is never a bad thing.

I would add this information myself, but I actually don't know that much about past and ongoing computational studies of Collatz. Is anyone else willing to do this? (Or at least show me what sources to reference, and I can write it myself.)
