When I try to add my computer back onto the Collatz project I always get:

Communicating with project
Failed to add project
Please try again later

Have been trying for 2 days. Have tried through BOINC manager and BoincTasks.
The BoincTasks error is: Add Project: Error -184

I had my Blackhawk 4 go down to a blown PS two days ago.

Replace the PS and get it back up and running and collatz has disappeared and will not allow me to reattach to the project on that machine.

Gives the same error that Don is getting....

Got another way to fix it though. Copy Blackhawk 2's Boinc directory to Blackhawk 4. at least it will connect and get work...

I also cannot add my computer to Collatz.
Does this have anything to do with the expired SSL certificate?

Please resolve soonest.

Thanks!

I suspect it has to do with the security certificate for the project being out of date. Thus instead of https -- we end up with http addressing here -- until that gets fixed folks are SOL for adding new computers (or adding a computer that got detatched back).

I have one computer in that condition as well.

With your pc's hidden I don't know what kind of gpu you have but there are several other gpu projects that can take either AMD or Nvidia gpu's. Primegrid.com for one, Moowrap.net for another, there are others too. You can always crunch there until this one is fixed. In your particular case some are even on the list of projects that will work thru GridCoin.

Hi, Mikey.
Yes, I have decided to use my GPU's on other BOINC projects for the meantime.

I guess I just miss this project...

Yes, I have BOINC 7.6.22 installed, with NVidia 373.06 driver. I do not use NVidia 375.xx due to some issues I have heard about it.
I have also tried re-installing both BOINC and NVidia, but no success.
It really seems to be related to the expired SSL certificate issue, and needs to be resolved by Jon (the project moderator/owner).

Regards.

Hi Gerlando. That's not it. We have the latest BOINC versions. The certificate for the website needs to be replaced.

I can't say it will work but if you click on All Versions when you go to Download Boinc you will see this:

7.6.33 Development version
(MAY BE UNSTABLE - USE ONLY FOR TESTING) Download BOINC + VirtualBox 5.0.18 (91.56 MB)
Download (9.53 MB) 5 Jun 2016

I've been using that since it came out and have had zero problems with it, but as I said I do NOT know if it will work around the SSL problems or not.

I think the only real solution is a fix to the SSL certificate expiration issue.

One hopes that this can and will happen in the next days or weeks.

It won't. I already tried that even though I knew it wouldn't work...

Same problem here ... Unable to communicate with Collatz !
I had 40 WU waiting to be sent and validated and was unable to send them for the past 36 hours !
I decided to 'suspend' collatz in Boinc and hit the update button ! I was able to send all WU waiting for validation but didn't received new WU.
When unsuspending project, unable to communicate ...
I decided to retire Collatz in order to add it back and hope that communication problem would be solved ... but same problem as the one mentionned here : Try again later !!!
