Hello world,

I know it´s off topic, but because this is the most read thread, I post here:

Did anybody but me recognize that Microsoft installed the former optional "Diagnostic and Telemetry service" on ALL Windows 7-machines with the latest "Quality"-Rollup?

Greetings

Greetings NN

There were many stories a few months ago the MS has rolled their tracking stuff out to every platform of Windows, not just Win10. They do NOT sell data saying WHO they got it from, just that 3,000 people went to the Collatz site yesterday for example. Supposedly it helps the other sites move sites up or down the list when we do searches etc. It also helps retailers know what we are searching for and stopping on when we cruise around the net. It's one of MS's new business models to make more cash.

I don´t want to be tracked because I don´t want to be tracked.

I allways found what I was searching for.
I´m not interested in helping a shop selling goods I don´t need.
I recommend the Microsoft shareholders to look for a job, if they need more money.

Keep your fingers of my life!

Apple does it, MS does it, FaceBook does it, Google does it, Mozilla does it, it's a revenue stream so you and I don't have to actually PAY for everything we use for free right now. Do YOU work for free, I know when I was working I EXPECTED a paycheck every payday as it was the only way I could put my kids thru college and own my own home and put food on my table. If companies either don't charge for what things are worth or find other ways to make money then there won't be any products except ones like Linux!! And even some of the Linux distros ARE NOT free!! Do they have tracking stuff built into them...I don't know I don't use them.
