You know how the game goes.

Sorry for being away for a few days. Preparation for Thanksgiving and all.

Don't have to cook the turkey this year.
Meeting up with Daughter & Son at his house... 2 hour drive.
I cooked carrots w/pearl onions and bought a couple of pies.
Only 8 of us eating.
Have a Happy Turkey Day in the US.

I'm not cooking either we are meeting family at a restaurant and they are fixing it, big buffet and all that. No leftovers though so I did buy myself a piece of deep fried turkey breast for snacks or whatever, it's delicious.

My aunt and cousin are coming over. We'll have 5 for dinner. The turkey is brining and the pies are baked.

After Thanksgiving, Christmas cookie season begins. We've got 9 varieties scheduled.

I think I'll try some no-bake cookies this year.
I remember some oatmeal/chocolate/coconut cookies from my childhood.
They should fit right in with my special Christmas diet.
Pretty sure this is the same recipe my mother used in the early 60's.
If I make these and don't eat them all before Christmas, that will make me a WINNER!

Watching the Cleveland Browns try to win their first game of the season. It doesn't look good from here.

Yes, but there's a shot at going 0-16. That would be just perfect.

Yes but not unique I think Tampa Bay almost did it for two full seasons when they came into the league.

It's now Tuesday and I am winning!!

Christmas cookie season is upon us. I made the first batch yesterday. I'm also working on a family cookbook. Not much in store today. I have a doctors appointment at 2.

More cookie baking. My brother has been begging me for chocolate chocolate chip. I've never made anything with coco powder. It'll be a fun venture.

If anyone's interested in tea, try Whittard if you haven't. Excellent but not as expensive as East India Company. I recommend their Mango and Bergamot.

I've never heard of that but a friend told me about the "PG Tips" tea and it's darn good!! I am not a tea drinker but was for awhile, I still have a cup once in awhile but not very often. Coffee is my go to drink every morning.

I've never cooked with cocoa either!!

I prefer loose leaf tea, rather than pre-made tea bags.

But the tea and the DIY tea bags can be quite a bit more expensive than they should be...

Oh joy!!!

I have tried the loose tea but didn't like the leaves in my tea cup, maybe the ball I put them in had holes that were too big.
