Sorry if this problem is raised over and over again...

New laptop, win10, i7-6700HQ, intel graphics 530 and nvidia 950M

- installed C distribution on the first page
- driver should be the newest
- nvidia card works fine (didn't register a complete task since this is too hot for laptop in long term)
- intel gpu always give immediate error like

<core_client_version>7.6.33</core_client_version>

Go to Intel and get latest drivers from them (NOT Windows)

Weird...I looked for drivers from this site

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88345/Intel-HD-Graphics-530

I uninstalled the driver and installed the 15.45.xxx.xx version from the above, but the driver version remains to be 21.20.16.4481 for win10 (https://drivers.windows10download.com/w10-intel-hd-graphics-530-driver-21-20-16-4481-for-windows-10-64-bit-tfxom/)

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=80939 ---

Download and then uninstall your current driver. This will then revert back to Windows Drivers
You should then run the download installer. I hope it replaces it properly. Without this type of driver you will not be able to run the project. You may need to roll back one version also as this version just past out from BETA.

Good Luck

Yes...I figured out that my problem is some nasty manufacturer software is trying to force install their 'newest driver' on my HD530. Collatz tasks worked perfectly with the specific driver discussed above. I guess I will handle that by myself and thanks.

I have the same problem since the Win 10 Creator's update but can't make CC work again. The VS runtimes are installed (reinstalled to make sure). I've downloaded the current driver from Intel (15.45.16.4627) and a prior one from last fall (15.45.10.4542). Removed the current driver, rebootet without network, installed the new one, rebootet. Device manager shows it as 21.45.16.4627 and it doesn't work at CC (same error Forretrio got). If I install the older one it shows up as 21....4542 and still doesn't work.

What else could I try?

I would reinstall the BOINC client again. Remove the CC and then add back into the project. Make sure 32 and 64 Run times are installed before you do this.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Installing VC++ Runtimes, reinstalling them, uninstalling the Intel graphics driver, and reinstalling it didn't help. I even tried an old version of the driver and it still throws the same error. Seems to be a bug in Intel's OpenCL compiler.

The OpenCL has failed to launch or register. Looks like a bad install of the Video Driver. Try again and run as ADMIN.

Follow-up: using the Display Driver Uninstaller to clean the Intel driver, followed by a reinstall of the current one solved my problem.
