What is the purpose of the 'Micro Collatz' vs. the 'Sieve' app?

Is it correct that for the former, no GPU app exists and if so, why is that?
Could you please provide a 'Micro Collatz' client for Linux-on-ARM, too (so far there is an Android-on-ARM client available and I do not know whether the Raspi client does also run on the ODROID X2/U2/U3/XU4/C2 boards)?

Unfortunately, this does not answer my questions.

We have micro collatz for old/slow CPU's --- I found using the search tool. Micro is for slower systems and uses base processing.

I am asking because, to the best of my knowledge, at least over at Primegrid the "Sieve" applications just perform a pre-selection of what is being analyzed in more detail: A prime will never be discovered with those apps and that's also why they give exorbitant credits for the sieving process.
So, I just wanted to know whether womething similar is the case with Collatz - meaning that the "Micro Collatz" app would be the true thing to run in order to help discover something meaningfull.

I believe that while the apps are different they serve the same purpose. Either the micro collatz or the collatz sieve can find a number that disproves the conjecture. The primary difference is that the micro app processes much smaller work units and as a result is only offered to devices with very low processing power.

There is a hint on the preferences page when selecting apps:

(Size hints: Large = 16 x Solo;
Solo = 16 x Mini;
Mini = 16 x Micro)
