For some reason some of my hosts are only being given one or two Collatz tasks at a time?

Normally on these Hosts (with 1-2 GTX 1080/1080Ti) we would get around 400 tasks when storage had been set to: store at least 1 day, with 2 additional days.

I have tried changing storage from: store at least 1 day, with 2 additional days - back to store at least 0.1 day, with 0.5 additional days but this has made no difference.

Now other host's are getting 100% computation errors, and then afterwards Event manager says:

It is pretty hard to tell what is causing this all; it must be either:

* BOINC Manager latest update
* Collatz (we have never had any problems previously)
* Windows 10 Creators fall update

Previously I have tried:

* Resetting/Removing/Re-adding Collatz project
* Rebooting
* Reinstalling GPU Drivers
* Reinstalling VC++ Runtime
* Running Collatz via normal project rather than GRCPool project

We are currently running 7 GPUs, (4x1080s and 3x1080Tis) and are doing around 55 Million credits per day (via GRCPool aka GridCoin).

It seems that installing a newer VC++ runtime, after the Windows 10 update, is causing the computational errors, sometimes. This used to work fine, even an hour ago.

Installing the specific Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4, fixes this and stops the errors.

I would maybe suggest that as the link on the Collatz homepage for the VC++ runtime gets routed by Microsoft to the later runtime, that perhaps the link should be changed to the specific one (that works across all Win 10 updates) as given above?

I still not sure what is causing the single tasks problem as that is still happening, even with storage set to 1 day plus 2 further days. However I think this is related to running Collatz via the GRCPool (and the way it is setting/getting settings, as adding the project from not within the Pool has resolved this)

You can only edit within 60 minutes, your two posts are slightly longer apart than that.

Yes I have that problem with new pc's I bring here too, sometimes it takes a little bit for it to get tasks but then everything is good.
