I am running a Raspberry Pi 2 on this machine http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/show_host_detail.php?hostid=188963 with an ARMv7 Processor rev 5 (v7l) processor. The work is validating OK but the credit seems to be a bit light. The credit seems to be between 10 and 12 credits per hour which seems low to me?

Other than that I can say the application seems to working correctly, I have processed 25 tasks, without any errors so far.


Low compared to... other projects? other ARMv7 rev 5 processors?

I think that it is strange that a GPU can get 6707.120101530731 credits per hour for this job, http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/workunit.php?wuid=13778756But the Raspberry gets 10.75486936930966 credits per hour for this job http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/workunit.php?wuid=13688037

I know the Raspberry takes a long time to procvess the work but in the end they both end up with a result ?

In this case, the GPU which completed a MINI WU calculated 49,265,227,273,268 steps whereas the Raspberry which completed a MICRO WU only did 3,730,627,081,902. In other words, the GPU did 13 times the work of the Raspberry. Since the GPU received 719 credits, technically the Raspberry should have only received 55 credits which is 1/13 of 719. But, it received 65 credits, so it really got more than it should have.

The Raspberry only did 1/13th the work and it took 56 times longer to do it. There's no way it is going to get anywhere close to the same credit per hour as the GPU.

Seeing that the average work unit completion is now nearly 3 times the length in completing said work unit the credit values should also expand to include that additional time restraint. My RAC is falling dramatically since I shifted to all new versions for best optimization of your science advancements.

What is the GPU load when the WU is running?
Have you followed the 6.xx optimization suggestions here

Average Work Done with resource share equally divided.

it seems that this is using all the resources lately and is not sharing.
since it shared nicely untill the last few months I think it is in the app.

You can think it is the app, but it isn't. BOINC controls when to switch from one app to another. The app has no control of when BOINC will kill the process to switch to another project.

1 million credits in only 8.5 hours??
I start this project on my pc three days ago. The results are:

1 WU with "Collatz Sieve 1.21 (opencl_nvidia_gpu)" run on my GTX 980 Ti only 140s until normal end??? The computational effort should be 52.167.488 GFLOPs (as per properties).

1 WU for a CPU (Collatz Sieve 1.20) has the same amound and needs 64.000sec = ok.

I run 220 GPU-Tasks and earn 1m credits (220x4700). A bit to much (500 times faster than on CPU).
What's wrong with it?

i don't think anything is wrong with it at all. my 980 ti does a WU in 55 sec ^_^
