I restarted BOINC several times on all machines and even reset the project on 1 machine to no avail.

had that issue on 2 hosts - after a reboot they do fine again.

DNS-trouble again?

Not on my machines. Still have the same connection issue on all 4 machines. Maybe the server is swamped?

From the front page.

Also, due network reconfiguration changes to hopefully help make the server more responsive, the IP address has once again changed which means you may need to stop and restart your BOINC client in order to upload/download/report results.

Server is working fine...

Stop BOINC. Take a look at your task manager. If boinc.exe is running, cancel it.Then, restart BOINC.

Did that several times on all machines. Worked fine for awhile and then quit again. I'll restart all of them again.

The server disk space was at 99% this a.m. so it might not make it to the weekend. I'm going to see if I can get another drive added tonight after work even if I don't get the database moved until the weekend, I can migrate some files over to free up some space.

All works fine here.

1.Project web site message, ASCII as you see....
2.About 4-5 a clock this project time, got almost 200 task/host on ati and cuda host ,they asked for 0,1-0,2/day.
4.I want the same server application here as gpugrid, asking for finished wu to upload and report at least once a day.
(23.9.2009 16:32:56 GPUGRID Sending scheduler request: Requested by project)
5.I'am happy, all my host is now running without errors!

Nothing to complain abut....Thanks to Slicker and all people here, doing a great job!

Message 1905 - Posted: 24 Sep 2009, 1:35:18 UTC

Sorry I didn't give more advance warning about the server being down, but when I got home this evening the server had just about enough disk space left to log the shutdown process.

So, I took the plunge and added the drive this evening and migrated the database to the new drive. All is well for now. This weekend I plan to change the database over to use one innodb file per table so when a table is optimized it will actually release space. The WU and result tables were the culprits as they get fragmented very easily. Guess I need to RTFM before assuming the default settings during an install are the best ones to use.

OK -- the outage was short -- and the home page plus the threads here alerted folks to the possibility as well.

Regarding RTFM to do things right -- pass that on to the folks writing the BOINC client <smile>.
