When will the support for cuda 5 available.

Running collatz, on cude 4.2 and cuda 5.0 is giving errors.
For mini-collatz it is doing the task in opencl what is very slow .... 20minuts a task in compare to others who are running such tasks between 2 and 5 minuts on windows platform

CUDA 5? I'm just getting the CUDA 4.2 working properly. So, probably not for several months. Besides, CUDA 5 was just released within the last couple weeks. There are usually issues that don't get resolved until after one or two upgrades have been released. Since there is nothing in the release notes that I've seen that says it is not compatible with previous versions, if there are issues, shouldn't people ask nVidia why it doesn't work? (Not that they would probably care.)

As far as the slowness on OS X, doesn't it make sense that if a person spends twice as much on the same hardware as a Windows users spends just so it can run OS X that it should take twice as long for the OS X user to complete the work so the he thinks his machine is working twice as hard? ;-)

Given that the user base of Collatz is 80% Windows, 18% Linux and 2% OS X, and since I believe in the 80-20 rule (e.g. Windows therefore comes first), and since I'm using the latest Collatz v3.16 CUDA 4.2 app with CUDA 5 drivers and there are no problems,my next plan of action is to port the Collatz v3.16 for CUDA 4.2 app to Linux and then OS X. After that, I'll start looking at CUDA 5 and what changes could/should be made to the apps to take advantage of it's new features.

I have tried all parts to get the GPU part working but every time it is giving errors on the collatz wu, only working for mini-collatz wu thats why i ask it.

This new MacBook Pro have a good GPU so to compare the GPU specs with other users then it should be getting almost same kind of performance.

In other boinc projects GPU cuda for OSX is working correct only not for this project. And performance is then comparable with same specs CPU or GPU as on windows/linux.

I know for this project osx users are less, but that could be because that it is not working properly for OSX users and then they turn over to other projects.

Of course you are trying to get all running for each platform, only it is so cheap to say that someone have to ask nVidia. Think you have to communicate with other developers from other projects where it is running good.
