Hi All,

I have a strange problem: the BOINC on my desktop suddenly stopped to recognize my GPU. The driver was not updated, neither the windows.
On that day I have got 2 tasks. One was finished, the later one not, because the GPU "vent away".

Load or reload the gpu drivers from the manufacturer, Microsoft always thinks it's drivers are better and will replace the Manufacturer ones on update and Windows is rolling out a new set right now.

You use your Intel cpu/gpu to crunch workunits here? Because that's the error message that I'm seeing, if you don't use your Intel cpu/gpu to crunch here ignore it and keep on crunching.

Yes, I used to do so, until the error message about the GPU appeared.

Try Intel version 10.18.10, it's the one that's on my Intel i7-3612QM laptop and Boinc says it has OpenCL.

Well, funnily Boinc sees the OpenCL, but not the GPU:

From the event log:
11/23/2019 12:03:40 | | OpenCL CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz (OpenCL driver vendor: Intel(R) Corporation, driver version 7.6.0.0814, device version OpenCL 2.1 (Build 0))

But it is something that might be interesting, also from the event log:

11/23/2019 12:03:40 | | app version refers to missing GPU type intel_gpu

What does it mean?

I have no idea, I'm assuming you enabled the Intel gpu workunits on the website and then actually got some and they all failed...right?
Because Boinc itself can be funny with the error messages...if you are running a cpu worunit or a gpu workunit on a standard gpu then the 'error message' isn't an error message but a 'notice'. It's like at PrimeGrid, which I also run, and I put a new sub project in the config file it will say that's an unknown app and give me the same message you are getting.
