Computation error (APP: Cannot open checkpoint file to write!)

New to this project and sadly I'm getting computational error on all my tasks. Looks like they all have the same error. APP: Cannot open checkpoint file to write! Do I need to reconfigure something or is it an error in the applications code? I'm on OS/X latest version.
