I'm getting cpu work when I have preferences set to not allow cpu wu's. I have tried removing project, setting preferences again. Is there any way to stop these work units from being downloaded?

Are you saving your settings when you change them? I've been doing gpu units for a long yet have never gotten a cpu workunit.

Looks like he may not have install all the GPU drivers and Run-time C items.

I have been having a similar problem with one of my Macs (832665 - Mac3,1 with dual 4-core Xeon processors and two GTX 750Ti GPUs). This box is also crunching Rosetta@Home CPU tasks. Occasionally it starts crunching some very large (10-15 day) Collatz CPU tasks. When it does so, I can't get enough CPUs to support Collatz GPU tasks and one of the GPUs stops crunching. To tackle this problem, I set my Collatz preference to no CPU tasks and requested a project update. This caused one of the CPU tasks to pause and for my idle GPU to start crunching again. However, I was STILL crunching 6 Collatz CPU tasks. Restarting computer made the problem WORSE, as I lost ALL progress on the 6 Collatz CPU tasks. Given that 5 of the 6 were already overdue, I aborted all 6 of them and one idle Collatz CPU task. Given that I had already aborted all of the pending Collatz CPU tasks in the queue, I had no Collatz CPU tasks in the queue and the CPUs started crunching Rosetta@Home tasks and the 2 GPUs continued to crunch Collatz@Home tasks. An update to the Collatz project returned the following message: "Tue Jan 8 09:44:47 2019 | collatz | Not requesting tasks: don't need (CPU: ; NVIDIA GPU: job cache full)"

So, for now, it appears that the solution is as follows:
1. Edit preferences to keep Collatz from crunching CPU tasks
2. Abort any pending Collatz CPU tasks in the queue
3. If impatient, abort any active Collatz CPU tasks
4. Update the Collatz project

Will update this thread as warranted. Happy crunching!

Just abort them and re-update. Are you using a project manager or managing settings via your account on Collatz website? I find occasionally with grcpool account manager I get cpu WU’s with a new project when I clearly have them disabled. Once aborted they don’t come back
