Hi,

I'm getting repeated crashes in my CUDA application. Please see task 113154933 for an example.

More bits: I get these error messages when I suspend BOINC. The tasks do seem to run when I resume BOINC and eventually finish successfully. I suspect that the error messages are bogus and generated by something that doesn't know about suspend.

Also: one of my 'cuda' jobs seems to be sucking down one of my CPU cores. This seems wrong.

If you suspend all projects. Exit BOINC to clear memory. Restart BOINC, allow Collatz to run does it run then?

The first question in my mind is if this is GPU memory or System memory. If it runs when ONLY Collatz is running, then we can increase the system shared memory segment ...

Oh, and if you are going to run a latter 6.10.x version, don't run .51, move to .56 ... there is a memory leak that may also be affecting your operations ...

Upgraded to .56 and of course restarted BOINC. Still does the same thing.

Hi,

I've got a MacBookPro, 10.6.3, running BOINC client 6.10.51.

I've got two GPUs:
Tue May 18 18:32:13 2010 NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce 9600M GT (driver version unknown, CUDA version 3000, compute capability 1.1, 256MB, 80 GFLOPS peak)
Tue May 18 18:32:13 2010 NVIDIA GPU 1: GeForce 9400M (driver version unknown, CUDA version 3000, compute capability 1.1, 254MB, 35 GFLOPS peak)

I also have the CUDA toolkit 3.0 and installed them in the correct order. I've reset the project, but I still get:

Wed May 19 23:15:57 2010 Collatz Conjecture Task collatz_1273617017_677073_0: no shared memory segment
Wed May 19 23:15:57 2010 Collatz Conjecture Task collatz_1273617017_677073_0 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file
Wed May 19 23:15:57 2010 Collatz Conjecture If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
