1) Message boards : Number crunching : GPU Errors (Message 24270)
Posted 123 days ago by Profile entigy
My Windows 10 machine has just downloaded Nvidia drivers 387.68 via Windows Update.
(Never a good sign I know).
If I revert to 385.41 they just get updated again...

Now all my Collatz units are failing with the following error.

2) Message boards : Number crunching : Longer Sieve WUs (Message 23340)

+1 Here.

I don't mind doing fewer, slower WUs if the credit is increased.
3) Message boards : News : SSL Certificate Replaced (Message 23282)

Sorry, ALL 4 problems.... I believe... as this conversation cannot ever fail on any sign-in.

Forum post from BoincStats admin Willy today:

"Posted Today at 07:46:25
The project doesn't export its stats since November 8th and therefore BOINCstats can't show the latest credit."

*Sad Face*
The sad face is mine BTW.
4) Message boards : News : SSL Certificate Replaced (Message 23258)

Hi,

Just to clarify, there seems to be 3 different problems with Collatz at the moment.

1. Clients that have added the project but cannot download new WU's.

2. Clients that have yet to add the project, and cannot due to the client reporting "Failed to add project".

3. And those that have crunched WU's, but cannot connect their BAM Boincstats account to Collatz, with BAM saying "No response from project".

Chris

...and number 4, BoincStats still not collecting any credit despite the SSL certificate being updated.
5) Message boards : Number crunching : No Nvidia GPU tasks? (Message 22983)
Posted 487 days ago by Profile entigy
Guess this might have something to do with it:

17/09/2016 09:43:12 | | CUDA: NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTX 970 (driver version 372.70, CUDA version 8.0, compute capability 5.2, 4096MB, 3390MB available, 4087 GFLOPS peak)
17/09/2016 09:43:12 | | App version needs OpenCL but GPU doesn't support it
17/09/2016 09:43:12 | Collatz Conjecture | Application uses missing NVIDIA GPU

Thing is, I have crunched on this card, so it must be the preview build of Win10 that I run as part of the Insider program.
(I'm now on 14926).

Had nothing for days. Again.

Haven't had any Nvidia tasks for a few days either.
Keeps saying there are WUs for CPU, AMD cards and Intel GPUs though...

I'm only receiving 2 units at a time, and they are always failing.
This is with a GTX 970.

I find CUDA to be significantly faster on my NVIDIA card than OpenCL.

So, a) for me.

Cheers.
