error has disappeared into thin air ...
I have changed nothing.
all WUs working fine now.
On all GPU and all rigs.
somebody must have changed something.

Nope, still there - unchanged.

I guess the "boss" or moderators don't really care - no offense ...

I have been crunching successfully for a long time on this project.
But since 1. of May it is not working any more.

No, I have not changed anything on my rigs (I know: you will say: that's what they all say ....).

The other projects work fine.

I am using Win7 and Win10 - all up to date.
Drivers are new and/or OK.

By the way: the statistics have not been upodated for a long time.
AND loging in to the account shows some error lines:
Warning: mysqli_query(): (HY000/3): Error writing file '/tmp/MYNHrfvx' (Errcode: 28 - No space left on device) in /home/boincadm/projects/collatz/html/inc/db.inc on line 57

Warning: mysqli_fetch_object() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in /home/boincadm/projects/collatz/html/inc/db.inc on line 67

Warning: mysqli_free_result() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in /home/boincadm/projects/collatz/html/inc/db.inc on line 76

Besides that, I guess I will not be back.
Have you all a nice day !!
3) Message boards : Number crunching : Computation Errors (Message 1749)
Posted 11 May 2019 by San-Fernando-Valley
Post:
Random Error while computing. Usually 5 - 6 seconds into processing. Error repeats ever several hours.

- Outcome Computation error
- Client state Compute error
- Exit status -102 (0xFFFFFF9A) ERR_READ

...........

Any ideas?

My two cents worth of opinions start here:

This error 102 appeared first ON or after May 1st --- BEFORE this date everything was fine!

My rigs work OK on ALL other projects.
It is NOT a SSD or HDD problem.
NOR is it an access rights problem to any files.
NOR is it an OS (WIN7or WIN10) specific problem.
NOR is it a GPU or its driver version issue.

I would bet that something must have changed on the project side!

As others have said: just ignore it ... which I don't really want to support or accept.
These types of errors usually tend to increase in frequency and become more complex.

End of my two cents ...

HAPPY crunching to all.

error code 102 means:
ERR_READ -102 - BOINC has a problem reading from the drive. Maybe you do not have rights to read from the BOINC directory.

Solution: Make sure you have rights in your operating system to read from the drive. Check your drive for consistency, in Windows using chkdsk.

https://boinc.mundayweb.com/wiki/index.php?title=BOINC_Client_Errors_and_Error_Codes

Did you install Boinc as a 'service' and/or the pc has mutliple logins? If so that's going to cause problems when the user trying to run Boinc isn't the user logged into the pc.

Sorry for my late reply!

I am the only user on all rigs.
As I mentioned, I use several WIN7s and WIN10s.
If I don't have the rights to read the directory, ALL the WUs would die.
I did a standard install - I really don't know if it is running as a service or whatever - its beyond my scope.
Used chkdsk - all ok.
Samsung magican is also happy.
So I'm at loss ...

THANKS for your effort.

Since 1. of May 2019 we are getting many of the following same errors on several different rigs.
On diffent GPUs and different WINs.
Maybe you please have a fix/remedy for this?

6) Questions and Answers : Windows : New version of collatz constant HDD write (Message 1097)

... noticed constant HDD usage - my HDD blinks 2 times per second for hours ...

... One other thought is that SSD drives don't 'wear out' ...

Perhaps he is actually using HDDs - not SSDs ?

Even if he uses HDDs - they are pretty good these days and very cheap (in case of "death") !

Happy crunching ...
