1) Message boards : Number crunching : CUDA card required? (Message 1385)

What video card are you running? You might need to check the settings on the Collatz site to make sure you have specified no GPU work.

Embedded video Radeon HD3200. I did have it set to no for "use GPU if available". May be a quirk, but after I set that to yes I haven't had any more of the long-winded "no work" messages *shrug*
By the way, if your Phenom supporting motherboard has an embedded video -- that actually *might* be supported (what motherboard do you have?) PROVIDED you have a recent enough version of the video drivers.

Not sure what mobo I have. It's a Gateway DX4200. Drivers are current.

Thanks all for clearing this up for me :)

I am getting almost non-stop this group of replies when trying to download a new WU:
Your computer has no NVIDIA GPU (true)
Your computer has no ATI GPU (true)
won't finish in time (not true on my quad-core Phenom)
your BOINC client is old - please install current version (I'm running Boinc 6.6.36 & collatz_2.00_windows_x86_64)

What do I need to update?

Am I interpreting this "The v2.0 applications require CUDA 2.3 compatible drivers..." correctly? If I don't have a GPU w/ Cuda then I will no longer be able to run this project?

204+ days?? Deadline of 1 October?? Please tell me this is because it's the first WU I've received! WU is 1253201549_1846_1. Computer is Phenom 9150 quad-core running Vista Ultimate 64. Can someone give me a more realistic estimate of time to completion presuming it runs 24/7 at 80% CPU (guestimate on percent due to using my computer).

edit: include OS
