Could you install the new badges on the server while you're at it?

I'll be putting the newly proposed badges on the new server rather than the military ranks.

Is there a time frame for when this may happen?

Here's 20 icons, keeping the original fractal design, scaling to 32, with the original 7 intact, and I added the missing 1 billion.

100K Bronze
1M Silver
5M Gold
20M Amethyst
100M Ruby
500M Sapphire
1B Turquoise
2B Emerald
4B Onyx
6B Jaspar
10B Jade
15B Topaz
20B Peridot
25B Rodolite
30B Aquamarine
35B Chalcedony
40B Firestone
45B Spinel
50B Afghanite
100B Titanium

Maybe these will work with a minimum of problems....

These look great! Now if it's not too much trouble, could you make the rounds to the rest of the BOINC projects lacking badges? ;)

Yes, things are improving. Can actually access the server status page now.
Good work!

Just had a quick look. Can confirm, there is NO life outside Boinc :-)

Sadly, 'tis true it seems....for me at least.

time to go other projects till Sliker returms at home.

Yup it's Fall where he lives and the deer herds need thinning.

Everyone needs a life outside of BOINC. Maybe the rest of us should try it. ;)

...reserve a core for Collatz GPU work...

Generally speaking, is it necessary to this? I've monitored WUs several times throughout their runs, particularly at the beginning and end, but I don't see a CPU being used very much (certainly not like GPUGrid). Am I just not looking at the right time(s)?

Have tried it and don't believe it is needed. Thought it may speed up the processing time and reduce lag. Don't use an optimized app. Collatz takes about 21-23% of a core on my machine, leaving the other 77-79% shared among four CPU work-units from whatever other project I am running.(Quad core system) When reserving a core, the app never uses the entire 25% so as small as it seems I'd rather have that remaining percentage working on something else. YMMV!

How do I set up my system (Win 8.1, Intel HD Graphics) to reserve a core for Collatz GPU work? Currently crunching Collatz Sieve.

If the app number changes do I need to re-do?

Will this cause work in progress to fail?

Under "system requirements" on front page it indicates the need for Intel HD 2500 or higher for GPU crunching. I have a lesser Intel HD GPU that works great on mini, solo, and sieve applications. Wouldn't want this slight bit of misinformation to discourage any potential users. Available for testing if needed.

1.10 version is out!

Just downloaded a few and the first has made it past the 2sec. mark. Very hopeful. Problem seems to be resolved!

Intel HD Graphics
Driver: 10.18.10.3408
WIN 8.1

All v1.09 sieve apps failing on my Intel GPU after 2-3 sec. (Win 8.1)

In the error dump, I see the following two lines:

C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\IntelOpenCL64.dll (1.1.0.1005)

C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\OpenCL.dll (1.2.11.0)

So, it is running OpenCL.dll version 1.2 yet the Intel OpenCL version is only 1.1. I wonder if there is a version conflict or whether the Intel DLLs version numbers have nothing to do with the OpenCL version it supports.

All of the machines that I've seen with errors, whether AMD or Intel, so far are listed as running OpenCL 1.2 (reported as 1.02 by BOINC because it feels the need to zero pad the versions to make them sort-able if you remove the decimal point).

Anything I can do on my end? Running driver version 10.18.10.3408 It appears any newer driver versions (including 4061) are for HD 2xxx and above.

and to complete the set I get the same error behaviour on my integrated intel GPU. Usually 2 or 3 units error out after 2 seconds, then one or more run OK.

Same here with Intel GPU but at this point only about 1 in 4 are failing. With only a 2 second runtime I can live with it.
