One thing I keep forgeting to mention is each WU runs for about 15 - 30 sec. and then the Windows error report pops up saying Collatz has to close. The WU keeps running but their's never eny progress %! Pick

I was reading another thread. Not sure which one but a fix for one of the probs was to detach and reattach, which I did. So I got this

After running Einstein for several Mo. I decided for a change, Collatz came in first. In between runs I upgraded Nvidia to (301.42) and Boincto 7.28. Everything else I run didn't seem to mind the changes. This afternoon when I made the decision to run Collatz I hit the download button and got 77 WU'ts. I let E@H finish it's last WU and let Collatz rip. Oh, What A Mess!!!! They all error out before they even start to count. What's up? Pick

Well, low and behold. I'm sitting here this morning with 7 seti cuda WU to run, 1 collatz cpu unit running and asking for some more eon2 cpu units to run then out of the blue up pops a Collatz GPU WU. Daaa! I did put the cc config. file in the boinc folder yesterday and shut boinc down. Restarted everything and no collatz WU's. I then let every project run it's course to the end so that I had no WU's to run and restarted Boinc again but could get no Collatz WU's. Then today in the middle of everything I was running I get a work unit. Go Figure! I did make one change in the preferances of the Seti program and that was , on multi core processors use at most--- and I went from 4 to 6! If that fixed things , OH Well. Anyways, Thanks for all the help fellas I really do appreciate!!!!!

That I can do! Now what, shut boinc down and restart? Went and did that and still get no WU. So I opened the boinc folder and the cc config. file and I get a security warning of scripts and active-x aren't allowed to run on this computer. Should I let them run?

I'm sorry but I really don't know how to create a new file! I'm able to get to the Boinc folder and open it but no idea how to create this new file or even where to do it! When I open the boinc folder it's just full of all kinds of files! I can find the one's that pertain to the Collatz project but where and how to make a new file is a blank to me.

Sorry, don't know how to do that. Beleave it or not I built this whole computer from the ground up yet have no idea how to tweak the softwear. Darn boneheaded about that stuff!

Slicker, I want to thank you for your help right off the bat! That said, Each evening I let what WU I have run to their finish ( if possible ). If I have 1 or 2 to go I suspend them under the projects key not the task key and shut my sys. down. (save $$$) Next morn. start her all up and run the leftovers first and then ask for more.I've tried suspending all work units. I've tried letting all WU run out and then asking for Colletz units. I changed settings and asked for cpu WU's and got 1 right away thinking it might jog some gpu units lose. NOT! I did get 1 WU in the early restart---yesterday or the day before and it ran fine! I'm set up the way you've suggested and am running on an intel 950 i7 only using 6 cpu's to keep the heat down in the box. I've had as many as a dozen Collatz's waiting to go and 6 or 7 setis in line and 16 eon2s running 6 at a time with no problems. Now if I try to surf the web at the same time, ya there's sloooooooooooow problems! ya know what I mean? Not quite sure what to do.

At the moment II have no other projects running and have no idea how to get too -----please turn on sched_op_debug in the cc_config.xml Now; I've been running Collatz Conjecture since Oct. of this year along with seti and Einstein. All of these with 1 Nvidia 450. They don't run all at the same time! Seti will get 5-6 WU and run till finish and if collatz has 1 then it will run and so on and so forth and the CPU may be running 5or 6 or 8 eon2's at the same time. When I logged on to collatz in Oct. I just setup an account, opened her up and got some WU and away she went. No special opptomized aps. or any special anything! It just ran. AND NOW I GET NOTHING!

What has happened to the work load I used to get? I've made no changes to my sys. since the outage and haven't gotten a WU since you've come back on line. What's up? Pick
