Someday, someyear we maybe have to put our foot down and accept the tragic fact that some projects never can be solved and start to concentrate on easier projects?

What do you think?

I assume you are talking about the search for little green men, and yes, I would agree. 60 years of searching and the closest they have come was a "wow" signal back in 1977.

No, i´m not talking about the SETI-project. The Screensaver is nice but i don´t think we will ever find E.T

Well...the GPU-ifying was a big step in the right direction but maybe som projects should later on be handed over to the Quantum computer DWAVE:

I wish i could afford a Quantum computer!

:-)

I believe DWAVE used BOINC to help in the development of their quantum computer. Once they got it running, the AQUA project was retired.

ehh..i believe AQUA@home was chrunching the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shor%27s_algorithm

(correct me if i am wrong)

Whatever...i know many Teams and Chrunchers that has stopped chrunching because they think "We" are now chrunching/calculating ridiculous numbers. It´s soon time to make the "Quantum leap" if we want to solve problems faster.

:-)
