When collatz crashed, I was pretty upset. I waited patiently for things to be "fixed", and as soon as it came back online, I downloaded the new app, and began crunching. Within a half an hour, it crashed my system. I tried again - crash. I immediately decided to hold off for a bit, until things got smoothed out. I did not complain. I did not whine, and moan, and lament. I waited.
I check back in here today, and all, or a lot of, what I see are complaints. I haven't tried running the new version yet. I don't know where it will go, or how I might have to configure it. But I know I will figure it out. Now - I happen to know a bit about my rig. I should, I built it. I'm a member of Overclock.net. But really, everyone should get a to know little bit about their equipment, and how to figure things out for themselves. It's not that hard. I'm not saying this because I'm a "nerd", or a "geek". I'm saying this because knowing a bit about how things function can save you headaches and hassles. It can save you time. And - it can save you some serious money when things aren't working the way they're supposed to, or the way you would like them to. Tech fees are outrageous. I know - I'm a former tech. Of course I was working for someone else, so I got a pittance compared to the price they were charging, but that's neither here nor there. The fact is that you should want to know a bit. It will help you in more ways than one.
"Click here", and everything is solved.
This is one of the many things that's wrong with society today. Instant gratification, and no commitment. Don't bother learning anything. Don't bother enlightening one's self. In fact, anything that's a "bother" is to to be immediately, permanently, and altogether - at all costs - avoided.
@Slicker: Thanks for all you do. I appreciate everything required for you to keep this project up and running, and you're a better person than I. I don't know if I have a thick enough skin! Keep up the great work!!
I'm going to go off and get this project running...

BSOD after running the new app for about 1.5 hrs - Can't swear it was the app, but it was an error I'd never seen. Something about trying to write to protected memory. Have run the usual... sfc /scannow, chkdsk /f, windows defender, norton system scan. Think I'll wait a bit to run this. :(
