Thanks mikey!

I should see how much for an international shipment, because that card is about USD$240 here in Mexico.

Greetings!

That'll be great.. That is about what I seek!! =)
and also the 9500GT computer is my "parents" computer, so its just 6 hr/day crunching at most... but 9600GT is mine.. jejeje
( 24x7x365 )

Hope to get a boost for position in my country (i'm 16... in Mexico)

And for what is written on the Optimized apps link... i think this is the only thing necessary to do.

Thanks!

Also... in a more general "matter"

Why didn't the new BOINC version (6.10.32, on development) even recognized the GPU?

OK.. Guess I'll have to try with an older driver, because that's the "newest" from nVidias download site recomendation.

thanks in advance!

Hello to everyone...

Why can't I get any WU of Collats for my GPU on the following (I do get them from Einstein for example):

CPU type AuthenticAMD
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ [Family 15 Model 75 Stepping 2]
Number of processors 2
Coprocessors NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT (511MB)
Operating System Linux
2.6.27.42-0.1-pae

BOINC client version 6.10.17
nVidia Driver 190.53

BOINC reports a CUDA capable GPU (CUDA 2030), although it says it's an unknown driver

I'd tried the new BOINC 6.10.32 (dev. version) under this Linux machine and it got worst!!,
Saying than no CUDA GPU was found, and also than "no coprocessor was found for the wu xxxxyyyyzzzz" (for some GPU WU's i downloaded from Einstein before upgrading BOINC)

For what I've read, I know ATI cards are better on collat's... But i DO have working a "less" powerful (??) card on the following machine:

CPU type GenuineIntel
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @ 1.80GHz [x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 2]
Number of processors 2
Coprocessors NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT (1024MB) driver: 19621
Operating System Microsoft Windows Vista
Home Premium x86 Edition, Service Pack 2, (06.00.6002.00)

BOINC client version 6.10.18

As for the settings of CPU/GPU use in collats, are the same for both machines.

SO... The 9500GT (Win Vista/BOINC 6.10.18) gets WU's and a 9600GT (Linux 32bits/BOINC 6.10.17) don't.

I tried this today (Feb 12, 2010 7hrs UTC)

What could be happening?

Also, what can I expect form a 9600GT vs. 9500GT on "crunching time" or credits?
